Waziristan militant commander killed?

PESHAWAR: Key Taliban commander Qari Hussain is believed to have been killed in a military operation in South Waziristan, official sources told Daily Times on Saturday. There were reports that Hussain was among other Taliban militants killed in a strike in the Spinkai Raghzai area on Saturday, the officials said. They, however, said the report was yet to be confirmed. Hussain headed the Taliban section involved in the beheading of rivals. He was also involved in the attack on a top agency official’s house in the Tribal Areas last year. The sources said Hussain and the Taliban had possibly been killed in a missile attack, adding the commander was present in the area during a strike. They added that the bodies of those perished in the strike had been mutilated beyond recognition. daud khattak
